Taiwan Ilan+Hualien 1 day trip

After days of spring rains, it is a sunny day for a good day trip.

We start at 10:30 and drive about 1~1.5 hrs before we arrive at Su-Ah(蘇澳)harbor.

There are dozens of seafood restaurant, we pciked 海底園活海鮮 for lunch. 

From left to right, they are water lotus, stir-fried clams, barbecued shrimps.



Nearby the harbor, there is a park where a marble Buhhda stands facing the Pacific Ocean.



The ocean tide sounds gently from afar, but they thunder when coming near.



From Suhao, it takes 2 hrs at least to get to Taroko via the Su-Hua road.

I would say if you like ocean view, scenary along this road will amaze you.

However, too many cement factories hamper original beauty.

Clear water Cliff showcases the incomparable landscape and ocean view.




Inside Tarogo gorge, spetacular landscape abounds.

There is a temple near Tainxian with the tallest Kṣitigarbha budda





It is definitely worth your time to visit here.

For friendly notice, 1 day is very rush considering the driving time.

On our way back to Taipei, we stop at a Japanese retaurant called 林北烤好 barbecue.




Food is always a good comfort, especially after one day's trip. 

20170313 Baby day downtown Taipei+Tamsui

It's my first time to tour with a little baby. I personally is attractd to this adorable angel as many other Taiwanese we encountered along the way. 

I bet yout can guess it right that here is C.K.S. memorial hall, the former president of Taiwan, who reigned 25 years. 

Obviously, she was unable to make sense of the overall guard-changing proceedins as other adult visitors were. 

At least mom is here for comforting little baby.

In addition to guard-changing, C.K.S memorial hall from time to time does exhibit some artworks. 

The cherry blossom was not ready yet at early March. 

Mango smoothie can evade any bad mood. 

Learning traditional Chinese is as easy as a piece of ice cream cake.

Within Mass Rapid Transit system, baby meets babywith curious face.

When baby is on the verge of crying, food serves well in calming down. 

An independent bookstore is displaying a mini-exhibition on our way to a church.

This Presbyterian Church was established in 1932 by son of Mr.Macay who came preaching in 19th century.

Tamsui emits abundant artistic spirit where we can meet working artists or on-display artworks.

Before calling it a day, another ice cream wouldn't hurt. 

20170326 Yeliu+Jiufeng

It was cloudy that day, fortunately not raining. Yeliu area was already crowded with people looking to appreciate the beauty of rock formation.Jiufen still appeared to be mystical as always. However, seafood feast was the main focus of this trip.

We briefly stop over Turtle screem harbor, but the seats are too crowded, so we move to another restuarant海龍珠餐廳.
